Student Intern-Talent Management, Recruitment

Position Purpose:  Under the direction of the Talent Management Generalist, the student intern will assist in achieving staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates for open positions.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Post open positions and internships to job boards
  • Research career websites for job postings and career fairs
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications
  • Review resumes of potential candidates for particular positions
  • Perform call backs with the potential candidate
  • Conduct calls with references and career counselors
  • Make recommendations regarding top qualified candidates
  • Conduct Phone interviews
  • Schedule interviews with qualified candidates
  • Assist with interviewing candidates

Minimum Qualifications

  • Major concentration Human Resource Management, Business Administration
  • Knowledge of current programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Required hours are 10-32 per week.

Please note that this is a learning experience and the student intern is not replacing a regular staff position.  Both United Way and the student understand that no wages will be given for the internship period.
