Student Intern – Fundraising
Position Purpose: Under the direction of the SSW Fundraising Manager, the student intern will develop new sponsorship opportunities and relationships in regard to the 4th Annual Golf Classic and provide project management support to the SSW staff.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Fundraising – Sponsorship and Donation Requests
- Marketing – E-marketing and branding
- Donor Engagement – Event planning and creating innovative programs
- Administrative work – Coordinating mailings and data entry
Minimum Qualifications
- Working towards a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences or non-profit related field
- Organized and ability to prioritize competing assignments within deadlines
- Skilled in verbal and written communication
- Good judgment and initiative
- Fully proficient and experienced in latest Microsoft Office environment (Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Required Hours:
10-15/Week, per supervisor’s approval
Please note that this is a learning experience and the student intern is not replacing a regular staff position. Both United Way and the student understand that no wages will be given for the internship period.
The candidate must be able to commute to the SSW office in order to be considered for the internship.
