Student Intern-Chicago Career Tech (CCT)
Position Purpose: United Way coordinates the non-profit relationships for an innovative City of Chicago job training initiative called ‘Chicago Career Tech’ (CCT). UW staff work closely with CCT staff to provide technology job shadowing experiences at local non-profit organizations for all CCT Participants. Under the direction of the Director of the Skill-Based Volunteer Program, the Student Intern works with the 2-3 United Way/Chicago Career Tech staff to coordinate the non-profit aspects of the CCT program, including recruitment of non-profits to serve as host sites, management of application materials, and matching of CCT Participants with their host sites. Required hours worked are 15-25 per week.
Please note that this is a learning experience and the student intern is not replacing a regular staff position. Both United Way and the student understand that no wages will be given for the internship period.
